Tuition

TUITION MADE AFFORDABLE. EDUCATION THAT'S PRICELESS.

At Sinai Akiba Academy, we believe children deserve innovative instruction, opportunities for growth and a living link to traditions stretching back thousands of years. Through generous tuition assistance, we put it all within reach, partnering with over 20 percent of families to turn state-of-the-art, soulful learning into a reality. We understand the challenges of paying for private education, but we also know the benefits that Sinai Akiba can bring. Because we value Jewish learning, we make it an exceptional value – designing tuition that’s affordable for an education that’s priceless.

We encourage you to review our tuition assistance program, designed to help make it possible for qualified families to attend our incredible school.

Frequently Asked Questions

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. When will I be notified of my Tuition Assistance grant?

Families will be notified of their Tuition Assistance grant at the time of re-enrollment for our existing families and our new families will be notified at the time of admissions offers are delivered.
  • Q. Should I apply for Tuition Assistance?

As you consider the cost of an SAA education, there are a number of factors to think about. Temple membership is required in addition to overnight trips (grades 4-8), optional after-school programs and activities, and financial support of the School (Sinai Akiba Fund). Many families also reach out to grandparents and other family members for additional assistance when appropriate.
  • Q. How is Tuition Assistance determined?

We use School and Student Services (SSS) to help determine what a family can contribute toward tuition. Families complete the SSS application form online. The application form is then reviewed by SSS and provides the school with a general recommendation on a family’s ability to pay for education. The Tuition Assistance Committee uses the assessment as a guide in allocating grants. Other factors are also used when determining the financial need of a family such as the number of children in tuition-charging schools, all sources of income, savings, investments, assets, and debts.
  • Q. How are Tuition Assistance applications handled in separated, divorced, remarried, or cohabitants households?

We consider all available sources of financial support when making Tuition Assistance decisions. Both the custodial and non-custodial parents are required to complete their own application in SSS. The grant process cannot be completed without full information from both parents. If you are remarried or cohabitating, we do require both adults in each household to complete the application with their spouse or partner.
  • Q. Is there a maximum income level that would disqualify me from receiving Tuition Assistance?

No.  Sinai Akiba Academy does not have an income limit for Tuition Assistance since every family’s situation is different. We evaluate the need of each family based on their application and make our decisions accordingly. Because we have a limited budget for Tuition Assistance, we request that you apply only if you truly feel you cannot cover the cost of the program.
  • Q. Will my Tuition Assistance automatically renew each year?

Families must reapply for Tuition Assistance each year. Tuition Assistance is based upon a family’s particular circumstance in each calendar year, but the school makes every effort to maintain appropriate and consistent awards for continuing students.
  • Q. What are the application deadlines?

Returning family application deadline is December 2, 2024

New families application deadline is February 7, 2025
